Description of the problem	Fueled the car up on my way home from work and parked the car for the night. In the morning when i opened the door, the fuel smell from the inside of the car just about knocked me out. I immediately opened all of the doors to vent the fumes as i was afraid to start the car until the smell dissipated. I started the car and drove to work thinking that it was an oddity only to discover that when the car sat during the day the same thing occurred when i opened the door to go home from work. After doing research i have discovered many complaints of the same issue, most have stated that there is a defect with the fuel tank filter-sending unit and mercedes refuses to acknowledge a problem even though someone could pass out from the sell of gasoline alone not to mention the threat of fire or explosion from the leaking fuel. I do not understand why this has not been addressed as a recall item as it seams as thou there are numerous complaints of the same issue.
